Will taking oral steroids over a course of 6 days make me gain weight?

I had a 6 day step down steroid for a back spasm. I can't say I gained weight, but I sure was irritated, grumpy, and angry by day 4. I hated being on steroids, I was ticked off that I was so ticked off. Ugh, makes me irritated just remembering the experience.
