Baby question please help?

Im going to be a first time parent in a few months, and if anyone has any advice i would greatly appreciate it. Like should i use a pacifier with my baby, or what do i do when i bring him home? Whats the best way to get him on a schedule so he sleeps when he's suppose to? Ughhh help
