I need help with TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD PLEASE?

I am doing an essay on the three least racist characters in TKAM. And how they raise the morals of Maycomb. I picked Jem Finch, Dolphus Raymond, and Atticus Finch. I am writing the paragraph for Jem right now but I cannot think of anything else other than the time when he agreed that what happened to Tom Robinson was wrong... Any more suggestions would be fantastic.
