My teacher told me one day that scientists have said that a large earthquake will occur by the time we are 50.?

I am 17 and I live in Mississippi and we never have earthquakes and that's when I thought about the yellowstone park volcano. Do you think that the eruption will be the cause of the earthquake. Also if it does erupt can't the rivers and lakes stop the lava from coming to other states?
